Selection of toys and games in the collection. I played with the Solitaire’ and ‘Domino’s’ when I was a child as did my son and nieces. My Dad and his siblings played with them when they were children in the 1920’s.

Gebrüder Bing, German child’s Magic Lantern & slides c1900. Kaleidoscope slide for a full sized lantern. If anyone has a date for either of these items I would be grateful if you could let me know. Email address below.

Early Snakes and Ladders board game, ‘The Little Drummer Boy’ story book. W W 1 Children’s Penny Magazine & School Chalk Board.

1920’s Horse and Cart in original condition, apart from the mane and tail which have been replaced. The cart is in pretty good condition, but the horse is ’Play Worn’.

Small Rocking Horse c1920’s. We did this one up ourselves and are quite pleased with the results, my grandson enjoys a ride on it now and again, one wonders if modern toys will still be around for children to enjoy in 90 years time.

Hula Hoop and 2 push along toys and a Chinese Abacus.

Selection of Victorian postcards from the collection, depicting children and their toys.
