French Dolls Pram c1930’s. Typical French dolls pram with its short hood and shredded seaweed padding. Short hoods were much more popular on the continent than here in the UK though many French prams were imported. It has had quite a bit of restoration work done on it as it was in a sad state. The pattern on the side is original however and was not in bad condition so I carefully painted around it, painted to look like marble.

Advertising Feature c1960’s. Used to advertise ‘Prams for hire’ at the ‘Bay View Holiday Camp, I don’t know where in the country this holiday camp was if anyone remembers one in the 60’s or maybe the 70’s I would be interested to hear. Not entirely sure of the date but the plastic wheels would not date it any earlier than the 60’s.

Reproduction Doll’s Carriage c1970’s. Many thousands of reproduction prams have come into the country since the late 1970’s in all manner of styles from tiny ones to full sized versions. Please be aware that many many of these prams are sold as ‘Antique’ some deliberately to deceive but others in a genuine belief that they are ’Victorian’!! We rather liked this example.
